Annual Teacher Appreciation Week at Bluemont

This post is for our beloved educators out there, who are ready for a break! 

School is done for the summer and it’s time for summer fun, not only for the students but especially our teachers! With 6 Zurschmeide children and 19 children educated through the Loudoun County School system, we have a whole lot of love for our educators, especially this year during the trials and tribulations of virtual learning!

Every year we welcome dozens of school tours from Loudoun and surrounding counties to Great Country Farms and witness firsthand the consistent effort and dedication from our teachers to educate our youth. This year was an exception due to the global pandemic, which means even more than ever, we can’t wait to see you back out at the farm and Bluemont properties!

As a “thank you” for all that you do, all week long, teachers and education staff will enjoy perks at each of our properties when they present a school ID badge. 

• Great Country Farms - Complimentary Farm Admission. Join us for U Pick cherries, and take the fun home to make a cherry pie!

• Henway Hard Cider - $5 Pints. Be sure to try our seasonal ciders; Strawberry, Peach, and Blueberry Lavender

• Bluemont Vineyard - $5 glasses of sangria and wine slushies.

• Dirt Farm Brewing - Half Priced Pints

We suggest you make a day (or two) of it and kick off your summer break with us on the mountain. Teacher appreciation week at Bluemont is a fantastic opportunity to mix and mingle with educators from all over Northern Virginia, DC, Maryland, West Virginia and beyond!
