The Stable at Bluemont Vineyard Weddings FAQ

  • You fall in love with the space, but the rentals start to add up. We include the following in our wedding package: • Five wine barrels • Five high cocktail tables • Round tables for seating up to 200 guests • Three wooden bars • 200 cushioned fruitwood Chiavari chairs • Eight wrought iron low cocktail tables with 16 chairs on our Veranda • Wedding Wine Club so you can enjoy discounts in the tasting room any time you visit prior to your wedding If you choose to elevate your décor beyond what we provide, we have trusted décor professionals on our preferred vendor list.

  • We are proud to have our exclusive caterer, Savoir Fare Limited, cater your wedding. Voted Best Caterer in Loudoun for six years straight, we are confident that they will exceed your expectations. As part of our wedding package, we include a tasting with Savoir Fare for four guests, so you can be confident in the quality of food and attentiveness of the service team that will be taking care of your guests throughout the evening. There are no cake-cutting fees, corkage fees, or upcharges to pour toasts.

  • We are a Virginia Farm Winery, so we require that you purchase Bluemont Vineyard wine to serve at The Stable. We include a wedding wine tasting with our wedding package, so you can ensure your wine selections compliment your menu, as well as a membership into our Wedding Wine Club, which includes 15% off food and wine purchases, including your wedding wine order, during your engagement season with us. If you wish to serve additional alcohol such as liquor or beer, you will need to obtain a VA ABC license for the day of the event which currently costs $55.00. If you do not want to purchase an ABC license, our caterer, Savoir Fare, has an off-premise liquor license and can provide the alcohol at a per-person rate. No outside kegs or shots of liquor are permitted. If you would like to serve beer from our sister property, Dirt Farm Brewing, please ask your planner for more details.

  • Once you have signed your agreement, Amy Thunell will be your planner moving forward. Amy has been planning weddings with us for 11 years and was named Best Wedding Planner in Loudoun County for 2017 - 2022 by the Loudoun Times-Mirror and has almost 18 years of experience working with our preferred caterer, Savoir Fare Limited. We are confident in Amy’s ability to guide you through your wedding planning journey and we know you will love working with her as much as we do!

  • Upon signing your agreement, your planner will meet with you to discuss your event from beginning to end and will provide you with a detailed guide to assist with the planning process, including a list of specific vendors that your planner has handpicked based on your vision. After your food tasting, your planner will meet with you again to discuss your menu proposal, design a layout, select linens, and review your current wedding plans.

  • Your day-of-coordinator will meet with you to go over details and develop a timeline for the event. On the day of your event, your day-of coordinator will be the facility supervisor and primary contact for your vendors, catering team and our facility staff. Your planner will also orchestrate your outlined vision to vendors and run the timeline of events. Your day-of coordinator’s primary goal is to ensure you can spend every moment savoring your special day with family and friends. If you are doing a ceremony on site, your day-of coordinator will be there to guide the rehearsal and document any décor and alcohol you drop off at that time.

  • We are proud to include exclusive use of The Stable the day of your event as part of our wedding package for a nine-hour timeframe. Thus, you are welcome to start your ceremony whenever you’d like! We recommend utilizing two hours before your event for setup, decorating, and photographs, six hours for your ceremony and reception, and one hour for cleanup.

 

  • If we have an event the day before your wedding, the latest you can have your rehearsal is at 12:00 p.m. The rehearsal will be one hour. This is also when you can drop off any alcohol and décor items.

  • You and your vendors will have access to the venue two hours prior to your chosen ceremony time for photographs and setup. Additional time is $150.00 per hour.

  • Yes, you are required to obtain a one-day event insurance policy that includes host liquor liability if you are providing the alcohol.

  • Pets are a very important part of the family! You may include your dog in your ceremony, but they must have a handler assigned to take care of them. Dogs are not to be left unattended and waste must be cleaned up immediately.

  • Rain is good luck, right? If it does rain on your parade, don’t stress. Your day-of coordinator will listen to your priorities and create plans in advance, so you can relax and feel confident knowing that your ceremony will be amazing, no matter where you say “I do.”

  • Weather happens. At The Stable, our whole-house generator will have the facility up and running so the celebration can continue! Your day-of coordinator is trained in what to do and is ready to handle any surprises Mother Nature may send.

  • The venue fee, coordinator fee, and ceremony fee are paid at the agreement signing. The next payment of $2,000.00 for linens and catering is paid 3 months after signing or 2 weeks before your food tasting. This deposit will be credited to your final bill and is not an additional charge. The final bill will be sent approximately three weeks before the event when the final guest count is given. Final payment is due 14 Days prior to the event.
