In collaboration with Henway Hard Cider, Dirt Farm Brewing and Great Country Farms we’ve combined our resources on the mountainside and are thrilled to offer our guests the opportunity to immerse themselves into Northern Virginia Wine Country with an overnight stay on property in Bluemont. For many years, our family has loved sharing our family owned and operated farm with our guests, and the addition of The Cottages at Bluemont will now enable everyone to linger a while, sip a little longer, take in the starry nights in this lovely place we call home.

Located 45 miles beyond Washington, DC, in Bluemont, Virginia, The Cottages at Bluemont are privately nestled among the vines of Bluemont Vineyard and orchards of Great Country Farms. You will enjoy quick walks and drives around the property to visit Dirt Farm Brewing, Henway Hard Cider and Great Country Farms Market, Knead It Bakery to savor farm to table fare, craft beverages and pick-your-own experiences followed by a little R&R at you cottage.
A little about each cottage…
The three cottages, The Stone Cottage, The Blue Door Cottage and The Brewer’s Cottage, all differ in size and amenities, providing you with unique options when booking your stay. The studio Stone Cottage is the perfect location for up to 2 guests looking to escape for a quaint and romantic experience. Make coffee in the kitchenette and enjoy unforgettable sunrise views across the Loudoun Valley.
The Blue Door Cottage is a pet friendly, restored log cabin built in the 1800s with a lovely modern kitchen addition. Relax by the fire pit next to the stream in the expansive back yard and catch glimpses of wildlife. The fireflies on summer evenings are magical! This cozy cottage is available as a 1,2 or 3 bedroom stay so is excellent for couples to enjoy or add on the upstair bedrooms for up to 6 guests for friends and family getaways.
The Brewer’s Cottage, built in the 1940s as a Bluemont residence, is located steps away from the tap room at Dirt Farm Brewing. This two-bedroom, pet friendly accommodation is perfect for those looking to travel with their furry best friend and take in the craft beer scene. The expansive view of the stars at night and the sunrise over Great Country Farms are simply spectacular!

Whether cuddling baby goats in the springtime at Great Country Farms, harvesting Pick-Your-Own cherries in June or Peaches in July and August, barrel stomping grapes in September at Bluemont Vineyard in celebration of the annual “Crush with Us” event, or experiencing the majesty of the mountainside during the annual Lighting of the Vines Christmas light illumination celebration, The Cottages will allow you to connect with the land and your loved ones and discover the inner farmer that lies within us all with a true Bluemont experience.
