From Harvest To Holidays: How to Make The Most of Your Vista Wine Club Membership

As Fall makes its debut in all its glory, it has us buzzing with all of the fun to be had on the mountain during this iconic time. From festive fall fetes to seasonal holiday soirees, the opportunities to Experience Bluemont are endless. And for our esteemed Vista Wine Club members, this season brings a cornucopia of benefits and experiences.

Exclusive & Flexible Wine Access

October means Fall club allocations will be released. Each quarter, members receive either three or six bottles of wine with their discounts. A ‘winemakers selection’ is offered each quarter that highlights the latest and greatest from Scott Spellbring and his team, but members ultimately have the flexibility to edit their bundle to their preference. “My goal as a winemaker is to create balanced wines and show finesse and structure while also conveying the uniqueness of Bluemont,” says Spellbring.

A 2022 Sauvignon Blanc Reserve,  2022 Chardonnay, and the 2020 Ascent Red

6-PACK 

A 2022 Ascent White,  2022 Petit Manseng Reserve, 2021 Helping Hands

Plus, members receive complimentary access to reservations in the Vista Club Lounge and Deck at the 951 Tasting Room. We welcome members daily to enjoy the lounge along with table service throughout your visit by our hospitable team.  

Member Pick-Up Parties 

If nothing less, we love a theme and a reason to open up new wines! Each quarter, members are treated to a complimentary ‘pick up party’ that includes the opportunity to bring additional guests to share their membership perks for the day. The party features tasting stations inviting members to try the new wine releases along with thoughtfully curated pairings from our culinary team. Oh, and we mentioned a theme, didn’t we? Picture yourself around a flame-cracking firepit, toasting to the season’s grape harvest with fellow members. Fall welcomes the annual ‘Firepits & Flannels’ event which is a rustic, relaxed gathering that captures the true essence of the season. The winter welcomes our annual Vista Club Brunch and features bite-sized brunch fare paired with our wines.

Private Member’s Only Nights at The Reserve Tasting Room

The Reserve offers a serene and exclusive, 21+ Tasting Room space, always. But once a month, we take over the property and open it for an evening just for our Vista Club Members. These intimate gatherings are by invitation only and invite members to enjoy their complimentary tastings, mingle with our team, and enjoy evening vista views of the Loudoun Valley. 

Public Event Discounts

You get the theme by now, we like to party. Our annual Events Calendar is action-packed, year-round, and members receive a 10% discount on all public event tickets. The October, Virginia Wine Month, Harvest Dinner is an explorative journey through Virginia wine that gives a nod to the makers, growers, and producers as they wrap up the annual grape harvest season. Plus, add an extra sparkle to your holiday season with the legendary Lighting of the Vines holiday dinners, an affair not to be missed. These events combine exquisite cuisine and the warmth of the season.

Seasonal Cozy Cottage Retreats

Nothing is quite as dreamy as a wine country getaway. Treat yourself to an escape at our idyllic cottages, where you’ll be surrounded by the breathtaking beauty of Virginia Wine Country. The Stone Cottage is the perfect retreat for a romantic getaway or bring the whole family and enjoy the Blue Door Cottage.

As Great Country Farms celebrates 30 years of farming in Bluemont, we owe a nod to the farm's rich history as it laid the foundation for our vineyard and craft beverage sister properties, Dirt Farm Brewing and Henway Hard Cider. Potentially the most packed in value of a club membership is complimentary admission to Great Country Farms. Pick your own produce and enjoy the quintessential fall activities of apple picking and pumpkin picking.
