The Annual Bluemont Vineyard 5K
Congratulations to all 100 finishers of this year's 3rd annual running of the Bluemont Vineyard 5K. We had a fantastic group of runners and even better fans. The weather was perfect and the atmosphere was electric. The results for the 2010 Bluemont Vineyard 5K can be accessed here.
The Annual Bluemont Vineyard 5K is one of the most challenging, but scenic courses to run in Northern Virginia. Run entirely on the property of the Vineyard, the race takes you over hills, through orchards around the Vineyard and -- at the end -- up the side of a small mountain.
If you do not wish to run the race, come and cheer the participants on as they climb their way to 951 feet! Those wishing to watch the start and finish should make their way to the winery before the noon start time. Doors open at 11:00 so come and reserve your front row seat!
This is a challenging 5K Run with its last 1/2 Mile consisting of a 350 foot grueling climb uphill to the finish line at 951 feet. The course is grass, gravel, and paved road.
Free wine tasting for all runners (21 years and older). Get your cheering section up the hill before the race. The race finishes in the winery parking lot at 951'! Prizes, Music, Wine, Great View of the Loudoun Valley, and Refreshments after the race.
